8.00 am: We will pick you up at your hotel to travel to Mai Chau located in Hoa Binh Province, approximately 135 km from Hanoi. We will zigzag along Cun Slope 12 km through Cao Phong District to the Mai Chau Valley.
From the top of Cun Mountain, you can admire the superb panoramic view of Mai Chau surrounded by its green valleys and stilt houses. Many ethnic minorities, including the White Thai Ethnic group, live in Mai Chau.
Enjoy a traditional lunch and if you are game, have a taste of the country’s finest rice wine with a local family. Afterward, we will take a bicycle trip around the village to see farmers working in the fields and the local weaving scarves. We will also visit the peaceful surrounding villages to experience the rustic life of the indigenous mountain people before check-in your stay.
Dinner in local restaurant/homestay.
Enjoy Thai traditional dance in the stilt house and enjoy ruou can (traditional wine) at the community house Free at leisure.
Overnight in Mai Chau.
Start the day with a simple breakfast with your host family then take a short drive through the surrounding countryside, before setting off on a trek through rice-terraced paddies in Na Meo, Xam Pa villages and down winding lanes to visit the Cum and Sam Khoe villages. Immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture and scenery.
